Week 4 All-Threat Team
Week 4 saw some breakout performances on the offensive side of the ball. The usual suspects were there, but a few guys cracked the All-Threat team for the first and we're hoping not the only time all season. Others, like our tight ends Travis Kelce and George Kittle are cracking the list for the first time and we expect to see them again. Nico Collins stands out above all others as the only player to make one of the All-Threat teams 3 out of the first 4 weeks.
Threat Ratings Week 4 1st Team
QB- Jordan Love(1), Green Bay: Love threw the ball 54 times in the 31-29 loss to Minnesota in Week 4. Despite only a 59 percent completion percentage and 3 interceptions, he racked up the Threat Rating with 389 yards and 4 touchdowns. Love had to push the ball down the field to try to get his team back into this one and after shaking off some rust in the first half completed a lot of big time throws.
RB- Chuba Hubbard(2), Carolina: Hubbard produced another all-around performance for the Panthers rushing for 104 yards on 18 carries. He also caught all 4 of his targets in the passing game and scored a touchdown on the ground. Hubbard led all rushers in rushing only Threat in week 4 while also coming in number 7 in receiving Threat amongst running backs.
RB- Tyler Allgeier(1), Atlanta: Allgeier did not have the usage you would expect for a first team All-Threat performer, but in his time on the field, he was hyper efficient. Allgeier rushed for 60 yards on just 8 carries and caught both of his targets for 20 yards receiving. Bijan Robinson is still the top dog in the Atlanta backfield, but with Allgeier, they have a 1-2 punch rivaling David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs in Detroit.
TE- Travis Kelce(1), Kansas City: Kelce showed glimpses of the player we’ve come to expect in the Chiefs 17-10 win over the Chargers on Sunday. He still did not find the end zone, but Kelce hauled in 7 of his 9 targets for 89 yards in this one. The Chiefs had better hope there is more of that to come with the current status of their receiving corps and running back room. Playoff Kelce may have to show his face a little earlier this season to keep the Chiefs afloat amidst all the injuries.
WR- Nico Collins(3), Houston: Collins is starting to look like a true alien in the receiver landscape. Not only did he make first team All-Threat for this week, but he is currently number 1 in Threat among receivers for all of 2024. He went off against the jaguars for another 12 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown in week 4. Collin’s elite size and physicality is a perfect pairing with C.J. Stroud’s precision passing and this duo is clicking on all cylinders right now.
WR- Jordan Addison(1), Minnesota: After missing two weeks with an ankle injury, Addison returned with vengeance against the Green Bay defense. He caught 3 of his 4 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown while also rushing in a touchdown. With Jefferson on the other side, targets can be a little harder to come by in the Minnesota offense, but Addison always seems to make the most of his as evidenced with his 10 touchdowns a season ago.
WR- Tutu Atwell(1), LAR: Atwell is not always involved for the Rams, but when he is, he tends to produce. With the Rams wide receiving corps decimated, Atwell hauled in 4 of 6 targets for 82 yards on Sunday in a loss to the Bears. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua should be back at some point, but the Rams should think of ways to keep Atwell involved down the line, because he adds a punch to their offense.
