Week 15 All-Threat Team
This week's All-Threat team was highlighted by the 48-42 affair in Detroit where the Bills outlasted the Lions. Both teams had multiple players put up monster performances as could be expected in a game that saw 90 points scored. As always, you can find our season long Threat Ratings in the stats tab of the app.
Threat Ratings Week 15 First Team
QB- Jared Goff(2), Detroit: The Lions took just their second loss of the season on Sunday, but that didn’t stop Goff from putting up another huge game in a season that will undoubtedly garner some MVP votes. Granted, much of his damage was done late when the Bills had the game in control, but Goff still passed for 494 yards and 5 touchdowns with no interceptions in the contest. He edged out his counterpart Josh Allen by .04 points of Threat for the week to take the top spot. Goff now has an 87.4 Threat Rating for the season ranking in a tie for fifth with fellow NFC North gunslinger Sam Darnold.
RB- Rico Dowdle(3), Dallas: It may be surprising to some that Dowdle makes the All-Threat team for the third time this season, but he is quietly putting together a really good campaign in his first year as the clear cut start in Dallas. On Sunday, he carried it 25 times for 149 yards accounting for his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game. He’s averaging 5 yards per carry and with a couple more decent games will go over 1000 yards for the season. Dowdle currently has a season Threat Rating of 85.1, good for 5th among running backs.
RB- Ty Johnson(1), Buffalo: If you look down below, you’ll see that both Buffalo running backs make the All-Threat cut in week 15, but it’s no surprise that a 48-42 game produced plenty of good Threat Ratings to go around. Johnson only had 2 carries for 9 yards, but caught all 5 of his targets for 114 yards in the game. He led all running backs in receiving Threat. In fact, he produced the rare occurence with a rating over 100 in receiving only Threat. It was the best receiving Threat Rating recorded by a running back this season.
TE- Sam Laporta(2), Detroit: Laporta failed to catch one of Goff’s 5 touchdown passes against the Bills, but he managed 7 receptions for 111 yards in the matchup. After a scintillating rookie campaign, it was Laporta’s first 100-yard game of the season. It was a welcome sight for the Lions who will need to get Laporta going as they lean heavier and heavier on their offense amidst the myriad of defensive injuries. Laporta currently has a season Threat Rating 76.7, 11th among tight ends in 2024.
WR- Amon-Ra St. Brown(4), Detroit: St. Brown has been a consistent assassin for the Lions as he makes his fourth All-Threat team of the season, but this was his most prolific performance of the season so far. He caught 14 of 18 targets for 193 yards and a touchdown in the loss. It was St. Brown’s fourth 100-yard game of the season and he’s now over 1000 with 1056 yards in 2024. Amon-Ra sits at fourth in Field Vision’s receiver Threat Ratings with a mark of 85.4.
WR- Davante Adams(2), NYJ: The New York Jets all-in mentality has definitely not worked out for them this season, but it has not been because of a lack of production from Adams, especially in the week 15 win over the Jaguars. Adams had 9 receptions for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns to help lead the Jets to just their fourth victory of the season over an even more disappointing Jacksonville team. Adams has a season Threat Rating of 78.5 which ranks 20th among receivers in 2024.
WR- Mike Evans(2), Tampa Bay: It’s likely no coincidence that the Bucs current 4 game win streak has coincided with Mike Evans returning to the lineup. In those 4 games, he has 414 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns including a 159 yard, 2 touchdown performance on Sunday against the Chargers. Evans is a critical part of everything the Bucs do on offense and his 82.3 season Threat Rating is 7th among all NFL receivers in 2024.
