Threat Ratings Week 14 First Team
QB- Sam Darnold(3), Minnesota: The Vikings are on a 6 game win streak, but the offense has looked rather pedestrian at times even in pulling out victories. That is, until Sunday, when Darnold went off for 5 touchdown passes on only 28 attempts. He had a near perfect 157.9 passer rating in the contest going 22 for 28 for 347 yards. He just edged out a host of quarterbacks for the top spot this week and has been consistently very strong all season long. Darnold’s season Threat Rating of 87.5 ranks sixth for quarterbacks this season.
RB- Saquon Barkley(6), Philadelphia: With his sights set on the single season rushing record, Barkley ripped off his fourth consecutive 100-yard game against Carolina on Sunday. He rushed for 124 yards on only 20 carries, good for 6.2 yards per carry, which is only slightly higher than his season total of 6.1 yards per carry. Barkley is making his 6th All-Threat Team in only 13 games and continues an historic running back season with a 99.9 Threat Rating nearly 12 points higher than number 2, Bijan Robinson.
RB- Zach Charbonnet(1), Seattle: It was a career day for Charbonnet who ripped off 134 yards in the crucial Seattle win over Arizona eclipsing his previous career high of 91 earlier this season against Miami. Charbonnet also caught all 7 of his targets for 59 yards and had 2 touchdowns on the ground. Charbonnet was 5th in rushing only Threat and number 2 in receiving Threat for running backs on the week. Despite sometimes limited action backing up Kenneth Walker III, Charbonnet is averaging an impressive 3.6 yards after contact on rushes this season.
TE- George Kittle(5), San Francisco: Kittle has been almost as regular as Barkley on the All-Threat teams this season making his 5th appearance this week. In the 49ers thrashing of the Bears on Sunday, he caught all 6 of his targets for 151 yards, good for an impressive 25.2 yards per target. Kittle narrowly trails Trey McBride in Threat Ratings this season, but comes in 2nd with a mark of 90.2 on the season.
WR- Ja’Marr Chase(4), Cincinnati: Chase is angling for a receiving triple crown this season currently leading the league in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. His current slash line is 93 receptions/1,319 yards /15 touchdowns. He improved all 3 on Monday night with 14 receptions for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chase currently trails only Nico Collins in Threat for the season with a rating of 85.9. He’s averaging over 100 yards per game with nearly half of it coming after the catch.
WR- Darnell Mooney(1), Atlanta: The Falcons struggled against the Vikings losing 42-21 on Sunday, but it did not stop a continued excellent season for Mooney. He had 6 receptions for 142 yards on 7 targets Sunday. Mooney is the 23rd ranked Threat receiver on the season with a 78.1 rating. Cousins has trust in him as evidenced by his 22.2 percent season target share, which is 20th best among receivers.
WR- Puka Nacua(1), LAR: After an impressive rookie season, Nacua has returned this season and emerged as the clear cut number 1 in Los Angeles. He had another huge performance in the 44-42 win over Buffalo on Sunday. Nacua caught 12 of 14 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown. He also added 5 rushing attempts for 16 yards and a touchdown for good measure. Puka has a season Threat Rating of 80.4, good for 13th best in the league. His 5.2 EPA/game is 3rd best in the league trailing only Amon-Ra St. Brown and Chris Godwin, who is currently out for the season.
