Week 12 All-Threat Team
This week’s All-Threat team is highlighted by the running backs, which seems to be a theme of the 2024 NFL season. The 4 running backs to make the cut this week have combined to make 13 All-Threat teams this season. They’ve rushed for a combined 41 touchdowns through 12 weeks and our first teamers, Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry are in the heat of the MVP conversation, which is saying a lot for any non QB. Here’s a look at all the top offensive performers form week 12:
Threat Ratings Week 12 First Team
QB- Bo Nix(2), Denver: Nix has been a revelation for the Broncos who are now 7-5 and would be in the playoffs if it all wrapped up today. Through 12 games, he’s thrown for 16 touchdown passes to only 6 interceptions and rushed for another 4 TDs. He has a Threat Rating of 83 on the season. On Sunday, he threw for 273 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions easily dispatching of the Raiders. Nix is slowly starting to make Rookie of the Year a conversation again with the falling back of our 2nd teamer this week, Jayden Daniels.
RB- Saquon Barkley(5), Philadelphia: Through 12 weeks this season(11 Eagles games), Barkley has a perfect Threat Rating of 99.9, meaning he’s having the best running back season of the last 5 years. On Sunday, he rushed for 255 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. He also caught all 4 of his targets for 47 yards in the dominating win for the Eagles. He obviously led all running backs on rush Threat Rating but was also 7th in receiving Threat among running backs. Barkley has played his way squarely into the MVP conversation at 7 to 1 odds. He would be a lock for offensive player of the year at this point if it weren’t for our next running back on the list.
RB- Derrick Henry(3), Baltimore: Henry is having an historic running back season only to be overshadowed by the heroics of Barkley. Henry’s season Threat Rating is 86.6, which is 2nd on the year. On Monday night, he added 140 yards to his season tally on just 24 carries. He’s been the engine to the Baltimore offensive attack that went for 389 total yards on Monday night against the Chargers. Henry was 2nd among running backs in rushing Threat in week 12.
TE- Trey McBride(4), Arizona: McBride has become a regular on the All-Threat teams despite his inability to find the end zone this year. His only touchdown of the season came on the ground in week 9. McBride’s season Threat Rating is 89.9, 2nd among Tight ends only to this week’s second teamer, George Kittle. McBride caught 12 of 15 targets for 133 yards in the loss to Seattle on Sunday, serving as one of the only bright spots for Arizona in the game. They will look to get back on track against Minnesota this Sunday.
WR- Jaylen Waddle(2), Miami: Waddle put up his first 100 yard game since week 1 on Sunday against New England. He caught 8 of his 9 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown in the dominant win for the Dolphins. Waddle has had a largely disappointing season with a 72.7 Threat Rating, which ranks just 40th among wide receivers, but the Dolphins are hoping this performance gets him rolling as they head into a pivotal Thanksgiving night matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
WR- Jordan Addison(2), Minnesota: Addison is usually overshadowed by his counterpart Justin Jefferson on the other side of the Minnesota offense, but Sunday was his time to shine. He had 8 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Bears, good for a season high in yards per target (18) and overall targets (9). Addison broke out with the Bears devoting resources to Jefferson and showed what he can do if you forget about the other side. Addison is 28th on the year with a 76.4 Threat Rating this season and figures to be a big part of the Vikings offense moving forward.
WR- Jakobi Meyers(2), Las Vegas: The Raiders don’t have a ton to be Thankful for this Holiday season, but Meyers does have the 6th best receiver Threat Rating in the league this season… so there’s that. On Sunday, he had 10 receptions for 121 yards against the Broncos, but Las Vegas still came up short for the 9th time in 11 games this season.
