Thursday Night Football Best Bets Week 7
Week 7 is underway and after our only two undefeated teams going on bye last week, they are both in action in marquee matchups this week. The 5-0 Vikings will take on the division rival Lions in Minnesota. The 5-0 Chiefs travel to San Francisco for a Super Bowl rematch with the 49ers. All of that is very exciting, but none of it happens on Thursday night. We'll have to settle for rookie Bo Nix and the Broncos going to New Orleans to take on their current rookie signal caller Spencer Rattler. We've got a couple of plays for you to get week 7 kicked off right:
Javonte Williams Over 46.5 rush yards: Before a game against the Chargers where the Broncos fell behind early and had to abandon the run, Williams had been finding his form with over 60 yards in the previous two contests. We predict a better game script for the Broncos in this one and Williams has advantages at the point of attack and against the Saints personnel. The Bucs absolutely shredded the Saints on the ground last week, so we see a good shot for Williams to go over.
Devaughn Vele Over 31 Receiving yards: The rookie out of Utah has played in only 2 games this season, but he's averaging 58.5 yards per game in those two contests. With Josh Reynolds out, the Bo Nix targets have to go somewhere and Vele is stepping up as an option. He had 8 targets in week 1 against Seattle and 6 last week against the Chargers catching 12 of those 16 passes.
Broncos vs. Saints Over 37 Total Points: The Saints defense gave up 51 points and 594 yards of offense last week to the Bucs. We know this game has two rookie quarterbacks and two teams that are supposed to be built on defense, but 37 is a very low number and scores on defense and special teams are certainly possible in this one as well.
