It's hard to believe, but the season is nearing it's halfway point. We have a better picture now of the contenders and pretenders as well as a better understanding of what players will make impacts on a week to week basis. With that as a backdrop, here's a sampling of our Best Bets for the Sunday slate in week 8. As always, check out the Best Bets tab in the app for all of our picks.

  1. Jaylen Waddle Over 52.5 Receiving Yards: With Tua Tagovailoa returning from concussion versus the Cardinals on Sunday, it's good news for all Dolphins pass catchers. Waddle shows large advantages in the short and intermediate part of the field and against the Cardinals Zone scheme. We like Waddle to go over in this one.

  2. Khalil Shakir Over 39.5 Receiving Yards: Shakir has strong advantages in the short area of the field and against the Seahawks zone scheme. With the addition of Amari Cooper, Shakir is the forgotten man, but he's still been the Bills most reliable receiver over the course of about the last calendar year. Look for him to go over in this one.

  3. CeeDee Lamb Under 77.5 Receiving Yards: As banged up as the 49ers are on offense, they're still (relatively) healthy on defense. They'll need to rely on that side of the ball to beat the Cowboys and that starts with slowing down CeeDee Lamb. San Francisco has been strong in the intermediate part of the field, where Lamb likes to operate. We'll take his under.

  4. Texans Cover -4.5 against Colts: C.J. Stroud has been much better at home than on the road in his career and we expect a bounce back game against the Colts on Sunday. Many key Texans skill position players including Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs have positive matchups here. We project them as 6 point winners, so we'll lay the 4.5 in this one.

  5. George Kittle Over 54.5 Receiving Yards: The 49ers are low on skill position players after Brandon Aiyuk suffered a season ending injury last week. That means Kittle season. Even before that, Kittle has enjoyed a 20.4 percent target share this season and 62.5 yards per game. He also has an advantage in the intermediate against the Cowboys defense. We like Kittle over here.
